SWEEP OPS: CAMERA ON! — How to Play

A free 60-second browser game. You’re a sweeper in a suit on a shopping street, and your job is to sweep up the leaves — but only the sweeps a camera catches count. It runs in any browser on phone or PC: no download, no sign-up.

How to play

  1. Move: WASD or the arrow keys on a computer; drag along the bottom of the screen on a phone. Get close to leaves and you sweep them automatically — there’s no sweep button.
  2. Sweep inside a camera’s view: the blue fan in front of each camera is its view. Leaves swept inside it score, and a green “ON AIR” lights up over your head. Sweeping outside the view scores 0.
  3. Watch the camera operators: 0.7 seconds before an operator turns, a red “!” appears over their head and a dashed line on the ground shows the new direction. Get there first.
  4. Mind what blocks the shot: trees, the smoking booth, the food cart, the fire hydrant and the broadcast van block a camera’s view. Benches, potted plants and scooters don’t.

There’s 1 camera operator at the start, 2 from 20 seconds and 3 from 40 seconds, so the second half is where the big scores are.

Scoring

ItemRule
Leaf / gold leaf10 points per leaf, 30 for a gold leaf
ComboValid sweeps less than 2 seconds apart keep a combo going. Every 5 hits the multiplier steps up: ×1 → ×1.5 → ×2 → ×2.5. Sweeping off camera, or going 2 seconds without a valid sweep, breaks the combo
Multiple camerasCaught by two or more cameras at once: points ×2 (three cameras is still ×2; it doesn’t stack further)
Prime timeEvery leaf is worth ×2 while the event lasts

Events and rats

Each run draws two of four events, around 18–23 seconds and 37–42 seconds in. An “EXTRA” clipping warns you one second before each one.

Gust warning

A strong wind blows the leaves one way for 3 seconds — leaves inside a camera’s view may blow right out of it.

Media frenzy

A temporary camera shows up for 6 seconds, pointed at one spot on the square. A great chance to be caught by two cameras at once.

Leaf burst

Several new piles of leaves appear at once.

Prime time

All points are doubled for 6 seconds. Stay on camera!

Deadline rush (every run)

With 10 seconds left the timer turns red and leaves pour down — then keep falling fast, mostly inside the cameras’ views. The final rush is the best chance to pull ahead. If you’ve extended the deadline with rats, the rush lasts all the way to the end.

Rats

Up to three rats show up each run. Sweep one out while you’re on camera and the deadline is extended by 5 seconds — up to twice per run (70 seconds max). Sweep one off camera and it just runs away. Rats avoid you, so herd them into a camera’s view from the other side.

FAQ

Does it cost anything? Do I need to download or sign up?
No. Just open sweepshoot.com — no app to download, no account to make.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes — phones in portrait or landscape, and computers. On a phone you move with the joystick at the bottom of the screen.
When does the leaderboard reset?
Every day at 00:00 Taipei time (16:00 UTC). A run started before the reset still counts for the previous day if it’s submitted within 5 minutes after it.
Why wasn’t my run ranked?
Usually because the game couldn’t reach the server when the run started (the screen shows “this run isn’t ranked”), the run took too long to submit, or it crossed the daily reset. If your connection is shaky, the score is saved on your device and sent automatically if you reopen the game within 25 minutes.
Can I turn the sound off?
Yes. Under “Settings” on the front page you can switch music and sound effects on or off separately, and your choice is remembered. You can change the language there too (中文 / 日本語 / 한국어 / English).
Where is this set?
On a shopping street in Taipei — which is why the shop signs and the smoking booth are in Chinese.
What happens to my data?
You can play without giving your real name. See the privacy policy for details.
